Mickey Endress is the top seed heading into Saturday’s Top 24 finals of the 41st annual Staten Island Singles Classic at Rab’s Country Lanes.
The finals are set to start at 2:30 p.m.
Endress led the qualifying field with a 725 gross series, which included five pins handicap on tough lane conditions.
Endress was the only qualifier to break 700 (scratch or gross).
Jeff Scire (696) was the runner-up in qualifying.
The top eight bowlers will receive first-round byes in the Donny Walters-run event, which is sponsored by the Staten Island Bowling Hall of Fame.
Once again brothers Tim Jr. and Sean McAuliffe are in the finals. Sean is a previous winner, while Tim has never won, the only Island crown that eludes him.
