CYO and Rab’s Country Lanes announced a new partnership, adding bowling as a new sport to the Staten Island CYO’s program lineup.
This new program will play on Monday afternoons at 4:00pm this fall, starting September 25 for 9 weeks. CYO Bowling is open to all boys and girls in grades 8 and under. Parents are encouraged to form teams of 4 bowlers to represent their school or parish.
“We’re excited to introduce a new offering for Staten Island’s youth to participate in. Bowling is a great sport where everyone plays, and no one sits the bench,” says Michael Neely, Staten Island CYO County Coordinator. “Bowling is a natural fit for CYO and its mission to providing the highest quality programs to our young people, and there’s no better partner than Rab’s to make it happen.”
Teams will compete separately in 5 divisions by grades (K/1/2; 3/4; 5/6; 7th; and 8th) and the program includes on-lane instruction by coaches, awards, along with a team jersey.
“This partnership is a natural fit for us, said Frank Wilkinson, Rab’s Country Lanes Proprietor. We’re honored to partner with the CYO, by providing a new addition to this popular sports organization. We take pride in our youth programs and share the same core values which strive to develop our young athletes into tomorrow’s leaders through education and sport.”
Registration is open and those interested in signing up should visit www.bowlatrabs.com/youth for additional information.
